Global Export Expertise

As part of the Long Rake Spar Group, Grantex currently exports specialist dried aggregates to over 20 countries across four continents. With such a high demand, the logistics and customs for our international services are powered by our in-house team of export professionals.

We employ specialist packaging solutions, guaranteeing our dried aggregates arrive moisture-free, fully sealed and in perfect condition. At Grantex, we pride ourselves on our reliable worldwide delivery.

Grantex stock holding capacity

Stock Holding Capacity

To ensure a constant and sufficient supply for our UK and overseas customers, we currently hold in excess of 125,000 tonnes of our imported products. Our stock holding is in excess of £8 million across the group.

Our products can be bulk shipped to our overseas customers, supplied to European destinations via road in bulk tanker, or palletised and delivered by container loads to any worldwide location. Large volume, core products are imported by sea in bulk shipments of between 2,000 – 5,000 tonnes per consignment.

Strategic docking

Strategic Dockside Facilities

We have strategically placed dock sites in all corners of the UK to optimise access to global shipping.

Our Rye Harbour site is strategically placed only 15km from the Channel Tunnel, making this key for the export and import of our goods. Our main dock facility at Garston Docks, Liverpool, currently ships over 150,000 tonnes annually with 21 storage bays. Improvements will see the yard area increased by 2 acres, raising stock holding capacity at Garston by an additional 30,000 tonnes.

Our Sustainability Commitments

At Grantex, we are dedicated to reducing our carbon footprint and working towards becoming a carbon-neutral company by 2030. As an exporter of dried aggregate products, we prioritise sustainability across all aspects of our operations, from sourcing to production and distribution.

To keep our export services eco-friendly and good for the planet, we have taken several key steps to make our operations more sustainable, including:

Clean Energy in Action: Our Rye Harbour site is fully powered by solar panels, cutting reliance on non-renewable energy.

Eco-Friendly Transport: We’re transitioning to electric vehicles across our fleet, with charging points at every site, reducing CO₂ emissions.

Energy Efficiency: Low-voltage LED lighting across all sites reduces energy consumption and environmental impact.

Ethically Sourced Materials: We only supply aggregates from sustainable deposits that meet strict ecological and legislative standards.

Sustainable Packaging: Packaging contains 30% post-consumer waste and is fully recyclable.
